"I absolutely love accidents"
Marty is a native of Cary, North Carolina. He got his start as an illustrator and later moved on to Mixed Media. A true artist who has showcased his work all over the state, his colors are bold and his style is minimalistic. Lately, Marty has been incorporating metal into his artwork.

He is quite a character, and his knowledge of art history is unmatched. If you are out on first Friday make sure you stop by Pitch Media Gallery to see his work. You will not be disappointed!

"I may have found my true calling"
Jessica was born and raised in Fayetteville, North Carolina. She is heavily influenced by her grandmother, who is an established painter. Jessica is very attentive to details and very passionate about the photographs that she takes. Her work encompasses various types of photography, from working with models to purely artistic images and everything in between. Jessica's work has been displayed in local galleries, and she was recently published in a national magazine.

Patina
"Whimsical, surreal, and playful"
Patina is Jenn's art and illustration studio based out of Raleigh, N.C. She creates her artwork and designs as sustainably as possible- using local manufacturers whenever she can, and sourcing organic or recycled materials.

A patina is the unique finish an object acquires is it ages. She chose the name Patina because she hopes to create art and design that ages beautifully or which re-purposes old items in beautiful ways.
Jim Fatata - Sculptor

"I totally obsess over detail"
Au Courant recently interviewed Jim Fatata who is a local sculptor. Jim also teaches others his craft. Be sure to stop by and check out his work at Litmus Gallery and Studios, on Cabarrus Street in downtown Raleigh.

He is a native of North Carolina who specializes in figurative sculpture. He earned an undergraduate and a masters degree from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. Jim also completed some additional postgraduate work at NCSU.
Tim Lee - Illustrator
It is who I am
"Boring bits come together"
Tim Lee creates art on wood, paper, and canvas; he also screen prints. Themes of music, Americana, pop-culture, and bits of Southern Gothic often recur in his work.

Tim earned a BFA from The Columbus College of Art & Design. His illustration work has been published by national and international magazines, corporations, design, and adverting firms. Currently, he is exhibiting his paintings in brick-and-mortar galleries across the U.S.

In addition to being a talented illustrator, Tim plays the mandolin in the bluegrass band, "The Hey Brothers". He's married to fellow illustrator, Karen Lee, with whom he lives in Cary, North Carolina. His younger brother, Robert Lee, is a co-owner of Methane Studios. His digital paintings are sold as limited edition Giclee prints. Traditional paintings on canvas, wood, and/or paper are available for private sale as well. Shipping rates apply.
