Raleigh, NC (May 28, 2013) On Friday, June 7, 2013, from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. TRIG Modern, a unique modern furniture, lighting, kitchen and bath design showroom in Glenwood South, will feature the artwork of Gerry Lynch as part of the First Friday Art Walk. The showroom will also be open to shoppers. Gerry will be on hand to speak with visitors about her work, which will remain on display through July 18.
TRIG will be featuring a selection of Lynch’s recent drawings and mixed media works on paper. Gerry Lynch has been making art for more than 30 years. She moved to the Raleigh area from New Jersey 22 years ago where she exhibited in New York and New Jersey galleries.
Her main artistic influences are Asian calligraphy, haute couture and contemporary architecture. Her favored color palette of black, white, and grays; sometimes punctuated with a burst of red or orange; is very complementary to urban environments. “Gerry’s striking work caught my eye the first time I saw it,” says Lee Tripi, co-owner of TRIG. “It is not surprising that her work has been featured recently in the new Urban Home Magazine (Triangle Edition), and before that in Living in Style and Metro, as well as many art publications. We are so pleased to be showing some of her latest works in our featured artist gallery space as well as some of our room vignettes through mid July.”
Gerry Lynch is currently represented by Lee Hansley Gallery, Raleigh, NC and is a member of Artspace, also in Raleigh. She maintains a studio at 1201 West Lenoir St., Raleigh, which is in the Boylan Heights area. To see a sampling of her work, past and present, visit her website: www.gerrylynchart.com.
